55 A Day

It'll take a lot of w*rk and it won't make anyone any money, but I'd love to get a 55 A Day hard-copy collection together! So: I've picked almost 70 stories, my very favorites, from the 300-odd stories on the site. What I want YOU to do is make your own list.

We'll have to see what happens, but I'm thinking that 55 would be a good number, although we may have too many good ones for that. 100 is the next round number, but I dunno. Maybe we'll end up with an unsexy number like 75.

Either way, I'd love for you (whoever you are!) to give me your favorite stories. Preferably a list of at least 60. And yes, you can include your own. I included far too many myself. But that's cool, because all opinions count. If no one likes my stories they will not be included. I shall not abuse my power.

Thanks so much for posting your list, Sonja.

The great thing about it is that while there are plenty of ones I disagree with, there are more I agree with, and if this was the final book I'd be pretty happy with it.

Only question (for now): where are yours? Don't be shy!

I didn't suggest mine because it just felt weird doing so. Besides, none of them jumped up and waved their hand saying I'm really good when I was reading, but maybe I was being overly critical of myself. :p

I went through the entire backlog and collected a list of my favorites. Then Firefox crashed on me. I WAS kind of asking for it, though...with Firefox, Internet Explorer, Winamp, and Photoshop all open at once, and my tablet running, and watching an old episode of The Office in one of my tabs. All of which is to say, crap.

Maybe I will go gather stories once again. Maybe. But I definitely want to put in votes for my own stories "Pulp Metafiction" and "Escapism." And that one of Gryfft's that just ends with "bad bad bad bad bad."

Those were I think my two favorites of your non-Zombie stories. Also, that's Gryfft's "The Leak" (also on my list). Can't wait to see what we DISagree on.

(If you can bring yourself to do it again. I completely understand. I had to retype a paper this week. Short paper, but still frustrating.)
